Linux driver sr needs updating

Rated 3.81/5 based on 720 customer reviews

To fix my problem I enter in root password, mount the boot disk as rw, and then edit /etc/fstab to swap /dev/sda and /dev/sdb around ... It's not a real issue as I will have to take out the pata drive anyway....

SCSI ULD structure is used AFAIK for adding Linux modules/drivers to it for better support of the SCSI devices on which kernel developers are working all the time. I'd have thought that a "Standard Hot Plug PCI Controller Driver" sort of collides with HAL and udev but obviously I simply don't know enough of the inner workings of linux.

kernel: sda: sda1 sda2 sda3 sda4 May not be the intended audience but for some dumb reason, it might be why my computer keeps swapping sda with sdb and vice versa...

I end up with the "FILESYSTEM CHECK FAILED" error on boot up of arch linux. Then the problem comes all over again swapping sda with sdb.
